Too much, too late
I received this message from a reader:
Not much I can add to that one. People can be forgiven for not researching before attending a TrendWest session (after all, they don't know what will be presented). However, it would be good if people didn't sign up on the night, or at least exercised their colling-off period. That way, they could always buy online for half the price1

Hi Fabbo,
I was reading your blog tonight and really appreciated.
I have to confess I didn't diligently researched TrendWest before making the decision. I was so excited by the picture of nice resorts and holidays and wasn't thinking carefully about the financial obligation and the availability of service.
I wish I had been to your website before. Now we are sucked in the situation that TrendWest does not allow us to cancel the contract and request us to pay the dues and the balance of the contract.
Compared to others who have already paid their price, we seem had not lost too much. But we are not better off, because we probably have to go through legal process to get rid of TrendWest. But I will for sure file complaints against TrendWest.
TrendWest had complaints in US and Australia and seems hasn't get any in BC, Canada. I hope the organizations in BC will do something to protect the consumers from their deceiving sales and unfair contract.
After all, thank you for this website, which provides lots of useful information. I will ensure my friends not get in this TrendWest trick.
Sophia
