Holy smokes!!!! I know you can't please everyone all of the time, but you people are unbelivable. I purchased Worldmark 3 years ago. I have never had problems using it. I love my worldmark credits without them I could never travel the way I do.
All I am hearing is ignorance here. Why would you spend so much time and energy tearing down something that you it is obivous that you know nothing about. Yeah big deal they have crumby marketing and they all use the same presentation. At least they helped me and others to spend time with our familys. Maybe you all should consider it instead of spending your lives bitching about nothing.
Oh for those of you that say nothing is available. Ha! I stayed in Anahiem in August on Bonus Time! Learn how to use what you own it's only a tool! You have to operate it correctly! I think that makes it your fault. MORONS!!!

After attending the Worldmark presentation, I was given a travel certificate, which includes air and accommodation in Vegas.
To redeem it, you need to mail it at least 90 days prior to your departure. You are also required to pay $85 per person for taxes, fees, etc. by means of a money order (no credit card payment).
Has any one had any experience with with his or her redemption? I don't want to send out $170 (for 2 persons) and get nothing in return.

I agree. I have had a pretty good time with my Trendwest. At the time I purchased I had been through a break up--it was definately an impulse buy. And yeah, it ain't the best deal in the world--but as far as timeshares go--it was pretty cheap.
I didn't feel forced though, and I've been on other timeshare presentations and I really didn't have a hard time regecting those either. In fact, in Hawaii, that was the way for hundreds of folks to get cheap activities. Maybe 2 people out of a group of 100 stayed after a presentation one night. Anyway, I'm sorry many have had a fard time with Trendwest--but I haven't.

Wow it sounds like the people who work for Trendwest found this site. The sales person i had was an asshole when i told him no, i was actually interested but i wanted to test his attitude if i wasn't interested. He was a total dick! Well he lost a sale. I was gonna sign but he screwed himself. I keep getting invited to these things. I have had a free trip to Vegas every year for 10 years. Ya, keep calling me ya retards!

I put myself on the federal do-not-dial list over the Trendwest calls. Guess what? They keep calling. I file complaints and they still keep calling! Can't stand 'em. And yes, this letter posted above looks phony and is probably the effort of some dickweed who works for Trendwest.

It could just as likely be a happy owner. I love my ownership but am concerned about it's long term value. Most owners, if they use WM...love it. Those same happy owners, however, tend to be unaware of what makes it tick...the Board of Directors, mgt company, and developer....and there ARE some concerns there.
For those who are owners...happy or not...please vote for Marci Tribe if you do nothing else with regard to getting involved with keeping an eye on those who run what we all own.
For those who would like to learn how to get better use out of your WM...visit wmowners.com and ask...the folks there go out of their way to help explain the ins-and-outs of the Club.
(ps: *grin*...I'm not marci...but believe that having an independent board will help maintain WM's use value.)
